Brewing note

Raw Pu'er has fresh & vibrant flavor. It contains relatively high tannins; people with sensitive stomachs avoid drinking on an empty stomach.

Cold brew

  • Add tea leaves into room-temperature purified water, refrigerate for 4–6 hours.
  • Recommended teas: Wild Black Tea, Fuding White Tea, Raw Pu'er. Ideal for summer.
  • If you do not have a gaiwan, a teapot works. Shorten steeping time accordingly.

Description

Aroma and Aftertaste: The aroma is pure and soaring; unlike the steady, weighty character of Lao Banzhang, the aroma of Banpen leans towards a crisp, fresh, and ethereal quality, often featuring high-toned, pure fragrance notes—sometimes reminiscent of fruit or a subtle sweetness—that rise prominently. It stimulates saliva production and leaves a lingering sweet aftertaste. Tea Energy and Throat Feel: The tea energy is potent yet restrained—subtle and understated rather than aggressive or domineering like that of Lao Banzhang. Distinctive "High-Mountain Character": It possesses a clear high-mountain quality; the liquor feels cool and refreshing as it glides smoothly down the throat, providing a comfortable physical sensation after drinking.
